27 June 2012 Update:

We got "no" responses yesterday from the TBI Mobile Crime Lab and MTSU "Beaver", but we did pick up the MTSU "Super Cub" and a flight-sim setup from them.  The Albatros and one of the OH-58s get their FAA inspection paperwork this morning (YES!!), and the Guard OH-58D confirmed that they will arrive to the airshow sometime on Friday morning.  Still waiting on hearing back from the Tennessee Highway Patrol UH-1H "Huey" and the University of Tennessee Space Institute...

28 June 2012 Update:

Both T-6Bs are on the ramp and the TH-57C is inbound as I type - it's finally starting to feel like an airshow in middle Tennessee!!

The full practice show is scheduled for 2 PM local tomorrow, and the OH-58D arrives promptly at 3 PM...  See you guys there!

Too bad the airshow turned into mostly static display due to the Dragon blowing tires and causing BOTH runways to be closed for all 4 hours between the TFR's.  We would have loved to have done some flying for the crowd and hopped rides in the Stearman if the runways were open.  Puzzled at the reason it took so long to move the Dragon and why both runways remained closed when he was not blocking either one.

AG are you sure it is an OH-58D? You said its a guard bird, but im pretty sure the guard doesnt have D models, only A and C models. did it have the ball on top and extra avionics or no?

Yes, I'm absolutely sure - Jackson TN (AASF #3) has OH-58Ds and they sent one in for static display.  As soon as things die down a bit I will certainly post pictures, but they did indeed send a Kiowa Warrior in for static display.  (And by the way, I'm looking forward to meeting you Justin at "Wings of Eagles" in a couple weeks!)

When I get some time to type more I'll address the RS&D; needless to say, both Andy and Jerry worked very hard to get both birds airborne until the very last minute.  Thanks to all who came and braved the 102+ degree weather (even hotter on the concrete ramp!) and I'll get working on photos as soon as I can...
