Here's a few shots that I took of Bob Hoover's P51D at the 1986 MCAS Cherry Point Airshow. I will always remember this show as the show that I went flying with Bob Hoover in his Shrike Commander and was able to join him and his crew on the flight line during the show on Saturday. What an incredible time that was!!!

Bob's P-51D Mustang at rest prior to the show.

Bob with his crew chief, the late Jim Driscoll. Both wonderful gentlemen and a pleasure to spend time with.

Newbie here. Incredible photo's all. Thank you. Nothing like the "scream of a Merlin"....... Afro My better half and I agreed in another thread, on another site, which does not exist anymore, on our favorite sound at an air show. What is your favorite sound at an air show? The oohs and aahs from the crowd? The sound of a "fast mover" on a high speed pass? The roar of a B-1 on the same high speed pass?  Ours, when a "Merlin Screams" under the right circumstances during a P-51 Demo. Again, thank you all. Wonderful shots!

Dave - Nice shots of Brat III...I hear it will be following the CAF's B-29 Fifi around the airshow circuit this year so I'm looking forward to seeing her in Reading Pa in June.

Lance - Love the Hoover shots!

Thank you both for sharing!

Well I can't compete with some of the stuff here (those A2A from Georgia are rather lovely!), but here are a few from the other side of the pond:

Unfortunately this one, D-FBBD, was lost in a collision with a Skyraider at Duxford Flying Legends the day after this photo was taken - thankfully there was no loss of life.

Visiting with the Horsemen, also at Legends.
