Hi Folks,

Just wanted to let folks know that I put up a photo pit notice for this show tonight.
I'm setting it up again this year.   We had a great time last year and I got notice today that I can set up a pit
in the middle of show line on runway 28/10 just to the west of the announcing stand.  (Will need to
double check my map this week but thats where I had it last year and it worked out well.

Should be pretty decent for a small show, with decent distance and background.

Flying:  T33 -keppeler, L39's, T28s, T6's, F86 - WHF,  Skyraider is on the website, P51 mustang, T34s,  B17-(EAA offering rides)
and various acro acts.   Dacy airshows are running it.

If you're a fencecheck member and in the area for the airshow, feel free to PM me.   Normal pit
behavior, we'd like a CD of shots to use for next years promotions in exchange for your pass.

Get in touch if interested.

It looks like the light will be pretty good. The show runs along runway 10/28 (basically east-west), so the sun is behind and probably a bit to show-left.

The photo-pit is right at front near show-center. We moved a speaker that was right in of the area back a bit so it shouldn't be in the way.

Today's weather wasn't great; there was high-overcast with some clouds so most of the time the light was very flat. There were a few moments when things got better.
Tomorrow's forecast looks very good. Some increasing clouds as the day progresses, but hopefully not too bad.

There is a balloon-glow Saturday evening, too.

Here is an album with few shots from today. (Facebook too, if that's what you're into...)
I'm still trying to get the color right when the clouds came over; I think my monitor needs to be re-calibrated...

Frank: Thanks!

I have too admit that much of the drama in the B-17 shot goes to the folks who placed the ramp floodlights. I pretty much just put the camera on a low tripod, pointed it up at the plane and pushed the shutter-release...

It was a great show.
Bummer that Sunday was rained (and low-ceiling'ed) out.

Joel: Nice shots!
But you really need to clone out the dufus in the green shirt out of the lower-right corner in the last one!  Wink
