Opsguy,

Thanks for the updates! So Rockford will NOT have any TAC Demos (we know about the ACC) and neither Navy...Does Rudy Malnati still organize the air show? I know he has in the past along with Gary, Chicago and Milwaukee.

Rudy still is our Air Boss, and we are still working on a F-18 Demo. Trying to pull some strings! As you can imagine with the USAF demo's shut down, the USN assets are in high demand.

Sounds good. Does Rudy have a say in what comes to Airfest? If so, too bad he couldn't land the F-22 like in Milwaukee this year (if still involved there) or Chicago in the past. I heard he has been instrumental in getting the top military performers to those respective airshows (including Airfest) in the past.

The F-22 actually will be back in Milwaukee this year, it was just updated a couple weeks back.

In reference to the inquiry about the F-22 demo. The USAF does not usually schedule the F-22 with the Thunderbirds at the same show, especially this year with the demo teams out of the picture;

Update:: We have added a E-2C and a MH-53E to the static lineup.

Notice there's a Super Hornet that arrived and is parked at RFD for the weekend. Is he going to take to the air at all? Can you give approx departure? Thanks.

Perhaps the price would be a bit much, but have you ever considered getting some private aircraft at the show? For example, the Collings Foundation has a flying F-4 and TA-4 for aerial display, and the Warbird Heritage Foundation right over in Waukegan has an A-4 and T-2 amongst many other planes. Many of the people in the audience probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference between those planes and new fighter aircraft anyways, and most of us plane people would likely be happy to catch something relatively rare.

Nice! Do you know if many of the aircraft will arrive and depart around the same time like the previous years? It would be nice to go out and get some of the static arrivals before the show again.
