11/20/12: C-130H Hercules from the 136th Airlift Wing, making a landing on assault runway at NAS Fort Worth.

11/20/12: KC-130T Hercules, QH 3023, attached to Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 234 (VMGR-234) doing touch-and-goes. VMGR-234 is a reserve United States Marine Corps KC-130T squadron. They provide both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aerial refueling capabilities to support Marine Forces Reserve air operations in addition to assault air transport of personnel, equipment, and supplies. The squadron, known as the "Rangers" is stationed at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, Texas.

Just landed, in the background on the runway, is the Lockheed Martin CATBird, a highly modified Boeing 737-330 designed as an avionics flight testbed aircraft. The name is an adaptive acronym, from Cooperative Avionics Test Bed; coincidentally, CATBIRD is Lockheed's ICAO-designated company callsign. The aircraft was modified in order to provide an economic means of developing and flight testing the avionics suite for the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II. CATBird has a distinctive appearance, with an F-35's nose and a pair of small canards located just aft of the forward entrance doors. Inside, the aircraft is equipped with racks to hold all of F-35's avionics, as well as an F-35 cockpit.
