Hi Liza,

just was wondering if you have any information regarding a flyby of a bomber (B1 or B2) as it was previously published on Wings over Houston website ...
if I look at the site now, I cant find any information ...   Cry
I was hoping to see my favorite B-2 ..

thanks for any information.
Take care
Claudia

Sorry, no. Once the bombers were moved from Air Combat Command (ACC) to Global Strike Command (GSC), their schedule is no longer published. One needs to rely on the event's website and hope it's correct.

Dear Liza,

many thanks for your message. Sorry for my delay but I didn't noticed that you wrote back :-(
Well, let's hope that there will be some bomber on WOH this year.

By the way, have you been at MCAS Miramar, Nellis and Pensacola  ? do they have a special place where photographers can be for the airshow .. ?
I'm so excited as I will visit 4 Airshows this year .. a dream came through ;-) and if I can get a shoot of the B-2 then it will be PERFECT ;-) ..

take care and all the best from rainy Switzerland

I have been to all of those but it has been years. May want to pose the question in those threads and members who have been more recently than I should be able to help you.

As of right now we don't have anything scheduled for a B-1 or B-2 but things can always change. Right now talking with the Air Force has been very challenging. Airshows across the board are having a hard time even finding military statics for the shows and including shows at an AFB. Stay tuned to see what happens in Sept for a finalized schedule. Thanks to all that support WOH.

Heard from everet we may have two B-1's here! One for static and one staged here for a flyover somewhere else and returning for a few passes!

That would be awesome!  Sure hope it pans out.  It would be my first time photographing a Bone taking off from our "home field".

Very Impressive line up this year static wise. Supposed to be 24 hornets here. 8 of which are the Blue Angels. Thats the rumor going around, but man that would top any air show static wise if it holds true.

Modern Aviation Displays
Spread throughout the Airshow are numerous static (non-flying) displays of modern military and civilian aircraft. Tour the inside of a "Hurricane Hunter", walk through a massive cargo transport, examine all types of helicopters, training aircraft, experimental planes, and more! You can visit with the pilots and crew of the planes and maybe even grab an autograph or giveaway token.

I know but there sure are a bunch of pages from the liberal Oceana Photogs whose airshow wont even come close to the static display we will have. A real dissapointment in my opinion from this years Oceana static line up.

The planned show for this year just does not have the excitement that brought me to Houston from the east coast last year.  It doesn't matter how good the static display is, I go to air shows to see the flyers.

The potential is there for a show in the future that will bring me back again.  If Collings puts up their F-4, A-4, F-100, etc. in a future show, that would be something to get me there again.  Really wish NASA would put up a few of their airplanes too (Super Guppy, WB-57, etc.).
