How is the lighting here for the show?  Based on the ramp, It looks like it gets better as the day gets longer, how's my aim?

You're facing the sun in the morning but it moves behind you. Distance for getting the planes taking off is a little far but they fly lining up on a road in between the runway and the taxiway. Performing acts are usually parked in front of the crowds. There are large light posts you have to deal with sometimes. It is one of the few airshows where the B-2 is on static display. If you can get close to show center you can get head on shots of the planes taxiing in. It is a great airshow and it's one of the few B-52 bases in the world.

Announced on Warbird Radio today B-17 Thunderbird, B-29 Fifi, and B-52 formation flyby Saturday only.   Cool

Don't get too worked up over that announcement. It does not look like a go even though it has been in the works for months...
