I stopped by Waukesha for the "media circus" day.

I wandered around looking at the plane and the other media folks (think the guy in the middle shot could learn to interview someone not shooting right into the sunShocked)

The fellow being interviewed is Douglas Holt, a WW II B-17 pilot, he also flew the EAA's B-17 for many years and is the author of "Lucky Dog", a book about his war experiences. 
Very interesting fellow to talk to, with tons of stories.  Afro

It looks like the event will be a great time. 
I can't be there because I'm committed to Baraboo, but I plan to add this to my list of events for next year.

My editor had also graciously let me take one of Midwest Flyer's two media-ride spots.  What a blast!

You have to sit and buckle up for take-off and landing, but as soon as the gear is up they let you wander around (as you can see from the shot looking aft at the runway...).
The hatch over the radio-room is off for the flight, so you can look out over the top of the fuselage.
