Coast Guard HC-130 H 1705 Coast Guard Station Sacramento. Sadly, this was the aircraft involved in a mid-air collision with a USMC AH-1W off the Southern California coast only four days after this photo was taken at the Wheels Wings and Rotors show, Los Alamitos Joint Training Base.



In memory of the flight crew: Lt. Cmdr. Che J. Barnes, co-pilot Lt. Adam W. Bryant, flight engineer Chief Petty Officer John F. Seidman, navigator Petty Officer 2nd Class Carl P. Grigonis, 35, radio operator Petty Officer 2nd Class Monica L. Beacham,  Petty Officer 2nd Class Jason S. Moletzsky, drop master Petty Officer 3rd Class Danny R. Kreder II..

While I may not have anything too fancy in the camera department, or the ability to do air to air work (yet), I've seen the USCG HH-65Cs of Air Station Detroit in action quite a bit thanks to weekends spent on Lake St. Clair and the Selfridge Airshows.
