10boomer, you are right. I just looked it up and thats the flag of Qatar on the tail. And I just drove by the plane again and it says Qatar Emiri Air Force on the front.

I love the sequencing and complexity of the landing gear. It looks like the front right set goes first, then the rear ones, and the left is last.
It is such a massive airplane, but makes for a great demo

Some great photos here, awesome stuff! An Elmendorf bird came south for a weekend, the lighting wasn't great but it was neat to see different markings.

Hey there Kevin,
In the article it states the bird is going to be used in a manner in which:

Each nation will decide how to use its portion of flight hours to support national, United Nations, European Union and NATO requirements.
I guess since it's not fulfilling NATO only requirements they left that marking off of her.
Regardless, it's neat to see some different colours on a C-17 - grey and black could only go so far!
