The show organizers changed which runway is being used. The showbox is now northeast of the paved runway. Statics were almost all general aviation plus a T-6 and VT-13. Not sure if more will be there tomorrow (since Alexandria's show is done).

Does anyone know if Jon Melby was raised in Minnesota?

Yes, Jon grew up in Duluth (as I did). His family moved to Arizona in 1979. Jon would have been in 10th grade when they moved. He loves coming back to the area. He and his parents (who are at the show, too) try to get back to Duluth as often as they can.

I don't know... that sure does look odd for a sun reflection, especially the 2nd shot  there are two individual object... It could be that Craig caught the flame trailing down the fusualge?

I have a shot with the flame in the similar position... it could be the larger flame is hiding behind the wing or just wasn't big enough to be capture.
