Couldn't find a thread for this small show anywhere.  This is a fun show, usually not much in the way of real big name performers (though they have managed somehow to get F-117 flybys twice and have had the Snowbirds perform once).  The show this year was threatened by a horrible forecast that was calling for record breaking rains but luckily the first wave it overnight and the second didn't hit until just after the show ended.  In between the rain, the show went off pretty well.  A highlight was the Heritage Flight Museum A-1 Skyraider.  A Griffon flew a demonstration which was supposed to culminate with the dropping of an "illegally parked car"...that old gag....well, after listening to the announcer go on about an illegally parked car all day long...something wasn't working properly and the Griffon couldn't even pick the car up.

All in all it was an enjoyable day.

Every year Ray seems to pull something out of the Chilliwack hat.  This year it was the break in the weather.  The Skyraider was awsome with that huge engine.  As for the car drop... I was asked to constantly push the illegally parked car.  Then the Griff went to pick it up and.... couldn't!  Later the crew said something about having too much fuel on board and the car not being stripped out enough.  Great.  Notice how I never said a thing about it and what was suppose to happen?   Grin  All in all, the usual great show out there.
