Where would a safe place (no security problems) to possibly shoot incoming aircraft at Luke?
Any help would be great.

North end of the field basically at or near the EOR lights - there is a big pull off to the West of runway centre.

Keep well off the road (no parking signs) - I'm sure it will be obvious as there will certainly be people there already

Well, now there is a 45% chance of rain on Saturday. I am getting a little upset over this. Every Luke Days since 2003 has had crappy weather! I've bought a new camera and am spending a lot on renting lenses for this and I may get nothing but crappy skies!

Well I arrived this morning.  T-Birds were up at about 1:30pm.  I had no problems with where I pulled my rental car over, however PD did have most of the spotters spots blocked off, obviouslly for the T-Birds show box.  I hope tomorrow I will be able to shoot some arrivals.  They came in early because there was a CRAZY storm with lightning I have never seen in NY.  Still alot of storm activity here now but what can we do?

well i could not have hoped for a better twist than today as the weather started to take a turn forcing the Thunderbirds to land in a pattern that perhaps gives you the closest view to the runway  Afro

Anybody know what the security restrictions are in terms of bringing in camera bags, diaper bags, strollers, and chairs?  I remember a few years back they were pretty strict and didn't really let anything more than small diaper bags thru.

Ben, still looks like they are going to be strict about what comes in. Check it out here.    whip

Hi all,

It's look like the weather will be better for saturday and sunday than the last two days here in Phoenix and Tucson... Smiley
I only hoop that the photography conditions are not bad...
