Well, she just flew over my house as I was getting the camera ready to go.  Embarrassed They told me there were leaving after 9AM.

She's going to be in Haward, Ca for the next few days. Is anyone else going out there?

I love that first shot.  Afro Afro Great blur on the trees in the background. My own back yard and I never seem to get a chance to shoot anything there...

Hey Eddie - you got it.  Looks like the access was better in Modesto.  The prop blade close up like like my boat's.  Nice shot of the engine exhaust headers.  Guess that makes it street air legal. Smiley

I finally got to sneak away on Mother's Day to grab a few static shots.  A real beauty.  An EAA guy was saying that the belly turret was recently replaced when a gear-up occurred while taxing.  Pilot error?  Since both collapsed and the switch relocated to a "safer" position, I'd say so.  Ouch.

Jeff,

Liked the photo of the belly turret.  Good eye for detail.

Thank you. Most fun was helping the EAA guys "start" the plane. We had to walk through about 8 "props" to clear the cylinders of oil.  Then we flew to Chino and returned to San Diego via auto. Most of the other EAA members were not as agile as I so consequently there was ample time in the nose for me. Not a bad payoff for working the EAA booth at Gillespie during Aluminum Overcast's stay.
