From when she was in Sarasota a couple years ago.

Who says monopod's need to stay on the ground?

Here's a few of mine from her Torrance stop. Don't have time to go through all of them right now, will one of these days.

Jim, nice pictures!

Thanks for posting them, I had forgotten when this was going to be out here, so I made the trip yesterday and only got one shot. Well, you know... 87 pictures that make one shot after spending 15 min getting set up.

Belly turret from the point of view of someone about to get in.  180 x 180 degrees (hence the white area at the top of the frame that I didn't get covered.) While it's a little hard to see, the horizon is level. It's the airplane sitting on the ground that is tilted.

1/10 sized for here. 9750 x 9750 pixels.

1/2 sized detail to give a better feel for the view the gunner had. You can also see a bit of the misalignment of the two exposures I got when PTGui did the HDR stitching. My pictures are actually better aligned than that, but I didn't want to spend any more time with PTGui right now to get it perfect.

I think I need to drag myself out of bed early tomorrow to get a couple more inside shots. Sure wish I had a better wide angle lens right now, I think the large lens distortion is part of the problem getting the alignment right.

I got soaked taking these today -- NAPA has relatively poor access for shots, too. All that said I kind of liked how some turned out and am fiddling with B&W PP on some -- first time I did a "rain shoot". Ironically, the rain was heaviest during the landing approaches and then cleared up as soon as I got home...... May go back this evening and see if it goes up again.

In this next shot you can see how heavy the rain was... I had my camera and lens wrapped in two shirts and had to sprint from the car about 75 yards or so into a field to take a few snaps and then sprint back to the car -- and I am not fast  Grin Didn't want to ruin my gear... very suprised she went up in these conditions. Not sure I'd want to pay $400 for a ride in which I couldn't see a darn thing out the windows...
