Flying Leathernecks museum

I will be in the area for vaca and would like to take in the museum. I would like to know if anybody can tell me , are aircraft from the air base fly on aregular basis and how close can I get to flight line.

Not at all close unless you have a very good contact on base. The Marines at Miramar are NOT photo friendly.
