Thanks Brandon, if i can be out there Friday I will be.  And speaking of Friday here is what happened this past Friday,
this Black Knight declared an emergency right after the sun had gone below the horizon and made this arrested landing…

AWESOME SHOTS.

Thanks.  As best I could make out on the scanner he got a warning light on one engine and shut it down as a precaution.  Initially all I could hear was the towers response to there request and nothing from ‘Knight 31’ (I think that was the call sign}.  By the time the flight was in range of my scanner they were done talking about the specifics of the emergency and planning their approach to the field.   I need to get a better antenna for my scanner.

This guy was the flight wing and the flight leader did a low approach with him and stayed in the pattern long enough to make sure he was on the ground and ok before continuing on to his final destination.

Great pics, but why declare an emergency (arrestment hook landing) with (just) one engine down??

and what IF eng 2 shut down... he probably didn't want to repeat the san diego incident a couple of weeks back... that's probably why he declared it...
but that's my guess  Cool

Thanks. . .

I didn't stay long after he landed.  After that there were some Ranger C-130's doing touch and goes. . .   so I split.   I lucked out with the A-10.  When I pulled up he made his first of 3 passes.   I got the second two passes.

guys: driving home from work at around 5:50pm this evening towards my apartment near BryantIrvin & I20 and I saw a B-52 off in the distance. Looks like it was still in the pattern....though I couldn't tell from my apartment if he stayed in it for while. Did you guys catch it? Since it was dusk, it reminded me of the silhouette pictures from about 10 posts back.

Soryy no pics; I don't have a camera on my phone or in my car.
