That's beautiful Robert  Cool

Too bad we hardly ever see a Tomcatter out here at NAFEC. I guess when I finally get back to Oceana again I'll try to catch one.

If your looking for the Omar's almost every plane we own is out of town for a couple more weeks.

8 here, two at home, and two in rework. Life is good.

Weather looking good next week for a visit. Anybody gonna be out and when are the best days during the week to shoot? Hope to be there from Wednesday to Friday. Also is it possible to contact the PAO to get in the base to take pictures of the planes in the park they have there?

Hi Joe.  The jets generally fly on weekdays. The PAO's info can be found through the Oceana website or on the airshow's site.

Are those open panels I see on the Omar shot?

Oops. There's nothing in those panels I would worry about. I am an Avionics guy, so I know whats off-limits for photography. We are all good still. :-D

I haven't got the gear to take the flying pictures you all do. I took this one a few days back and for some reason I am really proud of it. Nobody else seems as excited as I was when I looked at it on the computer. I tried to catch it as a siliouette(SP?) and still have enough light to be able to tell it was an OMAR. I am really really new with this sort of thing.

Very nice ! However ;-) if you have  lowered your view point so the Hornets will stand out against the sky rather than dark background, it would have been even better (or a Photo of the Month) ;-)
