images out of sequence

Hi All,

I have the Rebel XT, less than a year old. The last three airshow's i shot were within the last month. When i uploaded my images i noticed that there were several out of sequence. After filling up one card, about six file's had swithed places.

Example: Shot some takeoff sequences and the file order should've been IMG 199, IMG 200, IMG 201, etc.... After uploading the files into a folder i see that the file names are in order but the actual image had switched places. In other words, file#200 was actually before #199. I hope this makes sense

I would'nt call this an emergency situation but i'm curious if it might that beginning of a serious problem. I ALLWAYS format my cards as soon as i complete the upload process.

Any help advise is welcome

I have the same thing happening (same camera).
Not that it matters a lot, but I'd like to understand why.
