Dang, beat me to it!
I hope your wide-angle lens was ok after that drop
And nice shots! The one that captures the wingtip, the engines, and the nose section is just perfect. And you're gonna have to tell me where you got the one with the factory in the background. Did you sneak around to the other side of the building? I never got around to trying that. Had to go back to the office after the second taxi run.
It's been a crazy weekend. I should be able to get to my pictures in a few hours.

It's not entirely clear yet - but it seems to be more or less ok
...thanks for asking!

I can't wait to see them! Hoping we get some more tomorrow, but who knows.
A few more I've finished up of mine:

Ok, here are my shots of the 747-8 taxi tests.
First, a 777 warms up the crowd, and touches down right in front of Mount Rainier. Then a 757 shows off by taxiing over and making as steep a takeoff as it could manage. (I'll justify putting these pictures here in the 747 thread with the fact that the first shot has 747-8 #2 in the background, and the second and third shots have a 747 LCF in there
).

Then, the GEnx2Bs howl to life, as a bunch of trucks go up and down the taxiways and runways presumably to get any FOD that might be there.
The 747-8 taxis out of Boeing property for the first time (and I like how the Dreamlifter is lined up behind it. You can really appreciate how much bigger these new engines are).
Then, taxiing out towards the crowd...

747-8 all lined up for the first run, the crowd snaps away, and then we're off...

... for a very brief taxi, and the brakes slam on. The 747-8 taxis past its adoring fans, and then up to the crowd of brightly-dressed Boeing people who then spend a long time checking god-only-knows-what.
At this point I had to go into my office and check some things myself, so this is all I got. But it was fun to be there, and I do hope I manage to sneak out of my office tomorrow to see the first landing. (No, I won't see the first takeoff unless it is delayed 3 or 4 hours
)

Good morning from Paine Field! I have no idea why people say "bright and early"; if it were bright I wouldn't have needed the tripod...

Watch the first flight webcast streaming live from Paine Field in Everett, Washington, USA. Webcast of the take-off and landing will go live 5 minutes prior to each event. As first flights are dynamic, exact timing of this activity is subject to change. The first flight window will open 10:00am PDT, February 8, 2010.
webcast...

I'm hearing through the grapevine that takeoff should be around 2PM Pacific, which is when the TAFs are saying things should clear up.

I just watched the takeoff of First Flight on the webcast. Takeoff was at 12:39 p.m. Pacific time.

Lift-off!
Caught it with a Boeing camera on Boeing property on Boeing time, so I probably shouldn't share the pictures here without going through the information-release process. Probably not worth it, since they weren't very good anyways.
Now let's see if I can catch the landing, with my own camera, from outside the fence. It's not looking good, since I have somewhere to be in two and a half hours...

Just watched the live landing webcast, looks like they had perfect Wx for the arrival, look forward to seeing some great shots! It's a beautiful looking machine so if it fits the " if it looks right it'll fly right " theory it should be a great jet.
