Don't forget the ground crews. Planes can't fly without them.

Well, as long as the plane isn't remote controlled, that man in the cockpit is also pretty important to get if of the ground you know...

Not taking anything away from the pilots, just pointing out the fact that the ground crews keep the planes in flying condition. If the aircraft can't fly, there's not much that guy in the cockpit can do. The ground chiefs will tell you that they "own" the plane and only let the pilots "borrow them for a ride". Talk to any pilot from the Blues or T-Birds and they will be the first to acknowledge same.
