Not taking anything away from the pilots, just pointing out the fact that the ground crews keep the planes in flying condition. If the aircraft can't fly, there's not much that guy in the cockpit can do. The ground chiefs will tell you that they "own" the plane and only let the pilots "borrow them for a ride". Talk to any pilot from the Blues or T-Birds and they will be the first to acknowledge same.
