Right behind the museum, Bob. First time there for me. The volunteers greeted me and immediately upon seeing the 100-400 and 500 lenses, told me of their new area for "professional photographers." They said they had been taught to look for the white lenses (sorry Nikon'ers) and upon seeing those lenses, send them and you down to a special section roped off from the rest of the crowd. Bless their hearts. Not only are you away from the crowd, but they angle the restraining rope in towards the runway just a tad so you can get a clear shot down the flightline. The only downside is that they move you further away from show center and not closer to center; almost at the end of the runway. Still, mighty, mighty sweet.

Slow movers with the 5D and 500:

Slow movers with Mark II N and 100-400:

Picked up some speed here and was happy with the Mark II N's ability to move right along with him. Bless the 5D's big sensor heart, this is the reason I had to buy a Mark II. Still, when I see the dust spots, I see the value in a Mark III with dust removal:

Gfy, you didn't by chance get any shots of the new delta maneuver they are doing did you?  Great shots BTW.  Those jets look so nice with new paint!

Since last Thursday was the very first time I've shot the Blues and yesterday was only the third time I've seen them in person, describe the maneuver and I'll see what I've got.  Afro

Right at the end before they break for landing, after the "Loop Break Cross" at the end of the Delta set.  Should have come from what would be described as "in front of the crowd". Similar to the "Maple Split" performed by the Snowbirds.  Here is a video of that maneuver.  http://youtube.com/watch?v=-nyuAeeXPms

Thi the only other one I caught that's similar to the Snowbirds' Maple Split.  Roll Eyes

That would be the Fleur-Dis-Lis.  Don't worry about it, I had just heard they tried/did a new maneuver on the Saturday over the field.  Thanks for trying!   Cheers
