I am looking at getting the Canon 16-35L lens and I have almost enough amazon. com gift certificates to get it, unfortunately B and H is not on amazon. J and R out of New York  is and they have the lens at a good price. Has anyone here used J and R? any thoughts, concerns, ideas would be appreciated. I've never used amazon, so I'm just checking it out.

I have bought once directly from J&R and it was an OK experience.  Sometimes J&R's prices are within line and sometimes they are way out of line, so do your homework before buying. Also call them directly to verify stock. They have been known to say over the web stuff was in stock and it actually wasn't.

One of the best things you can do when buying from any Internet seller is to check them out at www.resellerratings.com.  It is a site that tracks the performance of web resellers and allows people to post reviews of their experiences.

Thank you, I haven't made a purchase yet but you might have just earned a customer.
