I believe this will be the first visit by the Blue Angels since they appeared on the NAS Atlanta side of the base in 2006. I've lived in Atlanta for 30+ years and I don't remember the Snowbirds ever visiting this base for a show before, so I would count this as a first for them.

An Atlanta show normally draws about 100,000 people a day with only one major jet team. I can only guess how many will turn out for two major jet teams. I just caution everyone to expect long lines and bring plenty of patience with you for this fall show.

Of course you can count on me being there.

Hey Vance, those  crowds don't bother me after remembering shows on the NAS side of the field.

Sheesh!

It is generally inadvisable to eject directly over the area you just bombed.

Liza's original list of performers had the Canadian Skyhawks on the schedule. I don't see them listed on this schedule. I really hope they attend because those guys do some amazing formations with the parachutes, once they are open and they should be seen to be believed.

Here are a few photos from the Skyhawks at Tuscaloosa a few weeks ago
