Folks,

I am happy to announce that Fencecheck members in Poland have been able to help us set up a photocall in Poland.
Many thanks to Wojciech Kowalski for his help setting this up.  Afro
First contact with the central Polish Air Force HQ Public Affairs is positive. They have to approve foreign photographers/media before we can connect to local PAOs as a security check on all participants is required ahead of the visit.
Also we hope to get permission to access the USAF det at Krezisny AB.
Besides photographing their aircraft we hope to get additional briefings/interviews as well.

Planned route

Monday 16 February 2009, Minsk Mazoniecki air base, MIG-29
Tuesday 17 February 2009, Krzesiny air base, F-16 (+ USAF det.)
Wednesday 18 February 2009, Miroslawiec air base, SU-22

If you want to spend more time in Poland you can consider visiting their Army museum in Warsaw.

Above museum is not part of the Fencecheck program.

We have 15 seats available. If too many people sign up there will be a lottery filling the seats.

Signing up is open until Saturday 6th December 2008. Final attendance list will be announced shortly after and send to AF HQ PAO for approval which probably takes some 3 weeks. Once approved we can work on transportation and hotels.

Signing up for this photocall is only possible by email or PM.
Please send me your full name (according to passport), place and date of birth and passport number.
This photocall is open for FC supporters only.

All places are taken now. Thankfully no lottery needed.  Smiley

Cool.
BTW I was thinking about some backup day, at least for Krzesiny --we will be there in the middle of winter, so we will have a chance to shot in beautiful scenery, but on the other hand, there will be a risk of canceling flights due to bad weather... So maybe we should ask Krzesiny PAO for Thursday as a backup day.

Not a bad idea to keep Thursday as a back up day.

This photocall is postponed until further notice. Hopefully we can run it later this year.

We're looking for a new opportunity in Summer. Probably between 13 and 17 July.

Nothing written in stone yet. More information to follow.  Smiley
