Mycole, I used to frequent Great Falls a lot...Where did they have that F-89 parked at?

If you went downtown, there's an F-102A in a kids playground...Fortunately they stuck that one up in the air, so the little tykes couldn't vandalize it...

At the truck stop across the road, I had an unrestricted view of that F-86...Fascinating to watch it move around that pole...Doesn't take much to amuse me, though... Wink

A new display at the Mineral Wells, TX airport (KMWL)
A bit off the beaten path...

Looks good for an airplane on a stick....

There I was at 20,000 ft, upside down and out of ammunition...

I have a Brother who lives in Mineral Wells. I'll have to check it out next time I visit.

Great shot!  Afro

I have never been there bit I think the VF-143 Puk'in Dog one is the old Vandy-1 F-14D and last production Tomcat from Pt Mugu.  It was said hearing it was going back east and getting re-sprayed.

Stopped by Goodfellow AFB today. No airpark but the aircraft below are displayed throughout the base.

Nice shots. Any story behind the Migs? I had a friend stationed there once upon a time for training. Do you know how far Goodfellow is from DFW?

I believe Goodfellow is where AF intel folks are trained, and a lot of what they learn there has to do with foreign aircraft and capabilities and such.

Great shots, Robert!

Thanks for the info. Yes, my friend was a firefighter that went through there in the Mid 80's.  It would be interesting to know where those Migs came from. I know the Mig-21 at Barksdale was a former Red Hat aircraft.

thanks,

Dan
