Great collection of pictures, Jan! I thought they were more at their place in this thread than in warbirds, as warbirds to me are still flying, not preserved.

Keep them coming Afro

A couple more. . notice a small problem with the installation of the tail on the F-4 ??  Smiley

Tom P.

The reason for the anhedral horizontal stab is to keep the tail from being blanked by the wing at high angles of attack (AOA).  The F-101 suffered from having it's T-tail blanked at high AOA so it was limited to approximately 10 units AOA where the Phantom was optimum at 19.2 units of AOA.

Sign of things to come for gate guards - no cockpit, no glamour, and no sex appeal. Sad

Sadly, that's not fog in the background, but rather all the haze and soot from the fires in California.

Let's see.  They put their statics on stilts so they'll still be visible above the snow accumulation during their long winters. Smiley  Good idea.

I saw one Eagle there and it was hard to see from my vantage point.  It was between some hangars.  Are their F-16s gone now?
