Its a CAC Boomerang and was an indigenous fighter built by Australia for use during the war. The engine in it is the same as in a DC-3/C-47. Very nice little aircraft. Glenn from Australia probably has many more pics of this aircraft, as well as Matt Dennings new one that he could post.

Neville,

What can I say?  Shocked

One question though, those Sabres... Where were they?  BAe Target towers by any chance?

Scotty - Used to shoot a LOT of warbirds for Graeme who owns Classic Wings magazine, but to be honest gave up on it because I got sick of dealing with a bunch of self righeous SOB's that had their heads so far up their ass they couldnt see daylight. Saying that I still do it from time to time as a favour to Graeme.

Mike - They used to be owned by Tracor Flight Systems at Mojave and were being turned into drones. same facility is now owned and operated by BAE Flight Systems.

Cheers

Couple more. The Sopwith Camel is owned by Peter Jackson, of Lord of the Rings fame here in Kiwiland. The Panther and Sabre were shot out of the side window of Jim Cavanaugh's B-25 on our way back to Texas from Oshkosh.

That must have been awesome to be up with the Heritage Flight.    Drool

Air2Air: Love the P-40 shot!   Drool Drool  What  photo ship were you in to get the top shot of the Spit?

Curtis

This shot is from summer 2004 out of another P-51.   The glare was a real problem.  It was a beautiful bright sunny day and my pilot was wearing a red shirt and red hat.  Had a few through-aways, but I like this one.

  Hey Curtis,

You should have told Dan to change shirts. You have to admit those Ridge Runner T-shirts are great looking.

That formation looks awfully familiar hombre!  Did you fly with 'Mad Dawg'?  I'm also guessing that's Roger's silver Yak flying lead.  Looks like you had a good time!

For us, El Guapo is a big, dangerous man who wants to kill us. But as sure as my name is Lucky Day, the people of Santa Poco can conquer their own El Guapo
