I used to be with "it", but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't "it", and what's "it" seems weird and scary to me.

It'll happen to you!

Looks pretty sharp.  What shutter-speed did you use?

Does anyone know what rpm turboprops like the C-130 run at landing?

Cheers,

1/80TV, F18.0, ISO100

Seems IS works best when looking at high contrast subjects. Tried a gray KC-130 against a gray sky in the past but lost most of the pix.

Above BAF C-130 came in with lousy weather but the shadow highfilter in CS2 was useful here.

at Leeuwarden this weekend while playing with my new Dynax 5D at some point i finally realised what was off about my helo / propplane shots and decided to play with the shutterspeed  Grin

i liked these

C-130J:

Chinook, on the verge of going blurry but acceptable for a beginner i thought Wink With the blurry background it has a sense of action in it. or at least i think so, haha

And the SAR chopper. I like the tailrotor

Those are the prop-tip vortices condensing water out of the air (y'know, like wingtip vortices). I don't think I've ever seen them captured so clearly.  Afro  Afro  Afro
