Even as the busiest airport in the world, we don't often get "visitors" here.  Seems like 90% of all arrivals/departures are AirTran and Delta!

The WX at ATL wasn't the best today, but it was a lot better than being at work!

Nice stuff there.   However....would you please read the faq page about posting photos?  Try and keep the size down a bit.

I think Tony is talking more about the file sizes - some are between 300-500kb - that's huge

Yeah, I try to knock the size down a bit, but I end up losing the quality of the picture.  I also forget that people still have dial up!

Where are you spotting from?  Its been a while since I lived in ATL, but it seemed difficult to find a good place to spot from.

While lurking at HoustonSpotters.net, I read that the Atlanta Marriott Renaissance has a spotters package available (http://www.marriott.com/hotels/hotel-deals/atlsa-renaissance-concourse-hotel-atlanta-airport/?offerInfo=284763 ), where you get a room with a balcony overlooking the airport.

The ones on the runways, I'm on the South deck looking out.  Now, the one thing in order to shoot from ATL property is to get a letter of authorization from them.  Took me about 6 months to get mine, and now the ATL security patrols and the Atlanta Police leave me alone!  The ones I take when they are on final is classified!  I actually had an Air Marshall tell me about that spot and he said that it is virtually impossible for anyone at ATL to see where I'm at!   Grin
