I head down to Georgetown, which is about 45 mins from Killeen. NORMALLY, it is your normal municipal airport, with a small jet center, a flight school, and some T-Hangers. However, there ARE some gems in some of the other hangers around the airport. So far, I have found a CJ-6, a Stearman, a hanger with a Pitts S-2 and a Giles 404, as well as a Sukhoi on the other side of the wall, and lastly, then hanger i go to the most, a hanger with a Texan Harvard, a Super Decathlon, a Socata MS-894A, and a Pilatus P-2 that is being restored for the Planes of Fame museum in Chino. I have been going there to help in the work on the P-2, which is an awesome change from the normal work I do on CH-47Fs. There are some random things that do go on there, like the EAA's B-17 Aluminum Overcast coming in for a day, and a wonderful little "New Aircraft Expo" one weekend. There is a P-51 that is supposed to be flying there in the next few weeks to be hangered there for good. But here we go, some shots.
