how come all canopies are covered? is this just for the Suez run?

i missed out on the VAC tomcat by a day i could only go there on the day before the airshow... so i had no access to the flightline

Once they get covered, they are in "preserved war reserved" state. If they take that stuff off, usually, the plane is going to end up flying or something changed and it will be scrapped.
