WOW. This one is shaping up to be solid as it comes! F-22,F/A-18F,F-15E, x3 F-104s and the T-Birds; All of which could be headliners in their own right. I'll definitely be there Thursday through Sunday. Adam VFA-203/VMFA-142 Forever 12/21/70-10/04/06 - The End, Baby...!

Anyone know the contact information for the Dobbins ARB public information officer?
I met with Thunderbird #12 at the Quebec show and put in a request for media credentials for this show. She recommended that I also contact the Dobbins PAO, but I can't seem to find thier contact info.

The showline has been shifted to face north this year instead of being on the runway of 11/29. This should allow everyone to have the left side of the face sunburned and not the whole face.

Will public parking still be at the Lockheed plant and people bussed onto the base? Are arrangements being made for a FenceCheck photopit for this show?

Any suggestions for shooting off base on Friday? I plan to come on up and would like to shoot some then. Looks like that Cobb Parkway is right on top of the runway from the map I see. Would assume that entire stretch will be open to public for business? Thanks!

One of the best spots is just up the hill on Cobb Parkway, next to the Lincoln Mercury car dealer. They have a small patch of grass between the car dealer and a Subway sandwich shop. You can park there and not get in trouble and the planes coming in for a landing fly right over the car dealer's building. (See my shots from the VMFA-142 last flight) If you try to shoot on Cobb Parkway or at the Dive Shop parking lot at the end of the runway, you will get hassled by base security at one point or another.

I hope you plan on arriving about 5 a.m. or earlier, because otherwise the traffic will clubber you.

I'm curious to see the traffic at this one with all the postings about it from the past. It'll be my first time at Dobbins, but it's going to take ALOT to be as bad as Boshear's Skyfest was about a decade ago. It "only" took me about 3.5 hours to get out of Augusta that year. I believe the Blues were back home before I even got out of the airport.
