Great show today, perfect flying weather, pity the sun made some shots tough as the day went along, but all in all it was well worth the sunburn I got.

Here are a few Raptor shots from the morning practice, to hold everyone over until I can process the 3145 photos I took today.

I wanted to post a giant Thank You to all of the people who helped put on this wonderful show. A lot of work goes into preparing for a complex event like this and all too often those of us who enjoy the fruits of the labor, forget to let the people behind the show know how much we appreciate them.

I want to also send a big Thank You to the Dobbins ARB Public Affairs office. As one of the lucky people who got a media pass to the show, I have to say that the Public Affairs people went out of their way to make the show a complete sucess for me as a photographer. The only request that I made that wasn't fulfilled was for a ride along in a Raptor.  Wink

Below are photos of Master Sgt. Stan Coleman, Dobbins PAO and Erin Tindell, also of the Dobbins Public Affairs office. As you can see, MSgt. Coleman is also a photographer. Maybe that is why we had such a nice platform to use for the show and got the best location at show center.

I attended the Media day and Saturday show dates. While Media day was a rainout, Saturday was an absolute blast. It was great hooking up with Craig, Vance, Travis, Jeff, Carl, Don, Jimmy and all of the rest of the usual suspects. This was my first time experiencing the Raptor and Super Hornet demos and I was impressed!

Here are a few of the shots I have reviewed so far...enjoy!

I'm still processing my shots, but I do have one gripe...

Whom ever the AF official was that told me and the others to move off the grass area in front of the privileged few on the shiny stand-I hope you had a very bad day, ma'am!

I should have stayed put, like a few others, but moved on to at least claim some fence line. I followed directions like we're all supposed to do. After setting-up, I look back over and see about 100 people right where I was before at show center! Envy The area then filled to capacity within minutes.

Two things that I have never seen at all the Airshows for all these years are the Air Force Drill Team and the GSP SWAT Demo. I was really looking forward to seeing that. Thanks to someone's poor planning and misdirection, I missed it. I did have plenty of time to reflect upon it during my two hour wait to board a bus back to parking.

Fellas, please post a pic or two of these events for me?

Mike, I thought I would run back into ya' on the flightline...sorry I didn't see you again. Can't wait for your excellent shots and captions. Bill, I missed you as well. See y'all at KPAM next spring!

As for the show in the air...Excellent as usual! I'll post some pics soon.

I got to see my former base. I got to see Falcon Fan and Showline Mike. I pledge not to double post both here and ASB (unless the photo deserves some more play).

Photographers this side of the Big Muddy have yearned for Mugu-like vapes for a long time. Max (and atmospheric conditions) delivered on Saturday:

Nice to see everyone! Great show, wonderful lineup! The most power I have seen at a show all year! The only thing missing was a good Warbird or two.....perhaps a Mustang demo would have been nice since Lauderback was there for Heritage Flight.
SUre would have been better than civilian helicopters, in my opinion. But, with the economy the way it is - I was very inpressed with what they DID have.
Thanks to Travis, Jeff, Taylor, Chris, Vance, Clifford, and all of the other Guys out there - had a great time! I got back home last night, didn't have time to go throuhg any. I'll post some tonight.

Only 1 more left this year........PENSACOLA!

Awesome shots!!  I will post mine soon. A question how does one know the serial numbers of the T-birds?  The Blue Angels are so easy. Is there some place that these numbers are stenciled on the jet? I cant find it.

Scott Slade also made an announcement over the PA that anybody in the grassy area would have to move.

Rob, I didn't get any shots of the Drill Team but here are a few shots of the GSP demo...

I had to laugh on Sunday because one of the GSP Dodge Chargers drove by playing the theme from the '70s SWAT show thru their PA Grin If only the FD had driven by playing the theme from Emergency!

Hello all,
I'm Scott Lloyd. I was the flight mechanic on the Coast Guard's HH-65C. I was wondering if you all liked the SAR demo and if perhaps anyone knows where I could get some pics of myself hoisting. I've just never seen myself before, not to mention I think my folks would enjoy seeing them. Anywho, I hoped you guys enjoyed it and any help would be terrific!!!!

My personal email address is coastielloyd@gmail.com

Thanks in advance!
