I didn't go Friday... that was a mistake.  Head Against Wall

Saturday was my best day.

Sunday I tried a different spot from Saturday and used the 300mm instead of the 420 combo with the extender and that was a mistake.  whip

Here is one more from Saturday.

Just got back from Salinas - wow, what a great airshow they run down there! Lot's of great airshow action. Loved the Collaborators. The "Rhino" high speed pass on Sunday was incredible...too many good things to mention here, but all the performances were fantastic. I hope to get some video up soon.

Congrats Gail, Kathy, Harry and the rest of the hardworking California International Airshow - Salinas. Thanks also for the hospitality.

Calling all Super Hornet experts.  Pardon my stupidity…  These are the 2 F/A-18Fs of the demo team - #113 on the left and #115 on the right.  What are the small round vents/tubes on top of 113?  Flare dispensers or engine bypass vents?

They are different lots.

There are vents on the top of the engine bay there. Those look like they are used to direct that air out.

edit: I looked at some other pics and those vents are a bit forward of the engine vents. It looks like its in an area where there are some fuel valves. I am gonna guess some sort of fuel system vent.

Funny Face and Pretty Face  Wink

OK, anyone else notice the baseball on the glass sticker on the C130.  Next question for those who were there.....is it the Red  Sox?
Great shots everyone.   Afro

My daughters and I attended the air show on Sunday.  As stated in earlier posts, the Thunderbirds were "fogged out".  Our lovely Bay Area fog (I grew up in Daly City, second only to Pacifica in cloud cover) can put a damper on an otherwise very enjoyable day.   We met with Keith Breazeal before and after the show and were introduced to Bernardo Malfitano--nice to meet you.

Very nice!  I haven't looked at the video from Sunday yet.  I might post the vapor shots and add some slo-mo.  Still loading the cards from Friday and Saturday into the computer.

Here's a Julie Clark
