Last year I "went inside" on Friday, but this year they don't have that option. Where would a good spot be for shooting arrivals? Thanks.  Wink

99% of the time aircraft land on runway 26.

Three locations to shoot arrivals...
     1. Mortensen Ave - From this location you will need a ladder or truck.
     2. Moffett St - This location will give you limited visibility (I will not recommend due to high trees and tower).
     3. Alisal Rd - This is probably the best location. CHP has been known to closed this road during practice & Airshow hours.

Hi -- might try to hit this show on the last day. Never been before.

Anyone have any recommendations on the best section to buy a ticket in -- yellow, red, blue, or green individual box seat? Grandstand? Flight deck club (sounds fun but don't see where it is on the map of the show grounds). my longest lens is 300mm...

Thanks in advance for any tips.

If you are buying box seats, go with green. You will be closer to show center.  I always go for the Grandstands close to runway 8/26... for better view of the runway and airfield.

I plan on getting in on Friday night. If anyone would like to grab dinner, let me know  Smiley

On Saturday I'll be at the top left corner of the westernmost grandstands - the yellow ones on Freddie's map, I guess. I'll probably be in the media area on Sunday.

I'll be wearing one of my yellow Brazilian soccer jerseys, should be easy to spot  Wink

I'll be in Row Y - Seat One - Grandstand A on Sat and Row Y - Seat 13 - Grandstand D on Sunday, but I'm working on shooting from the hangers on the sun side for at least one day.

Did anybody notice they have the Hornet demos and F-15 flying early when the sun is at it's worst?  Envy

Yep - TBirds and F-15 have been launching and recovering from MRY in past years.
