As I remember, it started the takeoff roll..............................all this time I thought it was #5 who was in position and holding...............................

Yes, number 5 was in its takeoff postion and holding on the runway for quite some time... sorry if I've somehow confused the issue

The way I saw it is that #6 never selected A/B, or couldn't. He aborted the takeoff, slowed and taxied to the end of 21R.
