Cool shots guys!  The Raptor shot there is sweet JT!

Did anyone get any pics from our arrival on Friday afternoon?  Or from when we flew Saturday and Sunday morning?

TC

And p.s., does anyone have shots of the TBM?  My dad flew her both days during the show, and I'd like to get some pics for him.

Thank you for the kind words, I think I might have a decent shot of the TBM , I havent made it that far yet but will soon. Three more that I have processed. Tough conditions lighting and heat wise and I even think it interfered with the camera operation(the heat).

The gentleman between Joel and me was hotreds/Hugh Montgomery.

Just got back to MN. Will start in on photos sometime tomorrow. Don't like to edit on the laptop. Great to see familiar faces and meet a few new ones!

What a great show.

I'm tempted to say it's my favorite so far, but each show is different, with opportunities and challenges that help stretch my abilities. I'll be back next year, that I know.

Challenging lighting isn't nearly strong enough. I was really bummed most of Saturday, plus wored-out from the humidity. I'm just thankful it was only in the 80's and not the 100+ that Planes of Fame's May airshow experienced.

So far I am also tempted so say I should probably take up knitting or something after seeing the incredible shots here. Nice to meet JT briefly Sunday evening. I had a hard enough time keeping that F-100 in my 200mm view, let alone imagine how in the world you were able to get such amazing shots with what I have to assume is your 500mm lens.

I spent a very enjoyable time in the Robert's Photo Chalet on Sunday. Many thanks to them for arranging that, and to the Canon Rep for making most of their lenses available to try out. These shots are almost entirely thanks to being able to try the 100-400L IS, 300L IS, 400L, 28-300L IS. I'm kicking myself for not at least trying a few shots with the 500mm and 800mm that were also there. I didn't want to know... But in reality I did know because of what I've seen here. Next year, definitely. (Nikon and Sony also had lots of loaners available too). Very Cool!

I'm just glad I shoot only RAW so I could get this much out of them. Although I do like the P-51 shots I did. I think I bumped up the exposure compensation to +2/3 by this time and the sun came out to play.
