Good to me Bernardo and TankKiller today and nice stuff on the night shots.  BigRedDogATL, I was planning on joining you guys but after shooting this afternoon I headed to my hotel to check in.  It is right across from the convention center and the traffic as SEMA was throwing everyone out was crazy.  By the time I got there, there was no way I was ever going to get back out again in time - added to which I was feeling pretty fried - so I ate locally.  Sorry to have bailed.  Spent a chunk of the evening running through the images and keywording but haven't picked any goods ones out yet.  Have to wait until after the show today now I guess!

Liza:

Sorry but I didn't come across it. The SEMA show is hugh. I went through all the exhibit halls at the Convention Center and most of the outside exhibits there, but I didn't get over to the SANDS Expo center or some of the outside exhibits in the back. I did take hundreds of photos and will post them at my Smugmug gallery next week. I just posted those few here because of the "name" connection to the Air Force planes.

I did find out something interesting today about the Ford Raptor truck. According to Mike Estrada, Nellis PAO, it seems that Ford made a request of the Air Force and Nellis to photograph the Raptor truck next to one of the F-22 Raptor planes. The USAF turned them down flat because they didn't want it to appears as if the USAF was endorsing Ford products.

I also found out from Mike that the Thunderbirds will not appear at next year's Aviation Nation. The Thunderbirds season ending show next year will be in Dubai. The TBirds aren't happy about it, but the Pentagon has spoken. Mike told me that Aviation Nation has requested the Blue Angels for the 2009 show. They havent heard whether or not they will get the Blues, but it would sure be strange to see the Navy F/A-18 planes parked opposite the Thunderbirds home hanger.
