The weather was hot enough to permanently fry my 20D, so I had to change over to the 5D.  I guess I'll be reverting to the 10D tomorrow.
Richard.
Jeff's Rebel had problems too, lucky I had my old 20D. Warning! Camera gear got extremely hot! even when covered, also saw a few people being carried away from complications of the high temps...

The guy next to me had a thermometer in his watch. At about 12, it was registering 115.6F I went through 4 liters of water during the yesterday, 1 more liter on the way home and another once I got home. I still feel dehydrated this morning!

Here are a few from yesterday. I'm still going through them.

I drove over Friday afternoon about 3:30.  Caught them putting one fire out on Euclid, drove around but there wasn't much flight activity and it was too hot to just hang around so headed out.  Chno Fire was back putting out another fire on Euclid.

Kind of got a little local airshow courtesy of CDF, LACoFD and OrCoFD aircraft but did get the B-17 and a Corsair in the distance a couple of times.

Anybody get a picture of the Horsemen taxiing in or out for Friday's evening practice, or the blue T-6 going in or out early Saturday morning? Thanks.

Well, here is something from Sunday.. They flew the T33-Shooting Star.

Not sure what you think of the glare on the wing though???

I like it - I like a little wing-glare now and then.

BTW, does anyone know why the T-33 didn't fly on Saturday?

Hi,
This is my first post to Fencechek.  I was at the show saturday, and noticed Britt by his name tag and introduced myself (not likely he'd remember though).

The afternoon sun was brutal!  Interesting to hear that other people had problems with their camera.  My D200 started having focus problems towards the later part of the show.  Hopefully nothing permantly damaged.

Really liked the WWII reenactments, but missed the first 90% of it.  That's what I get for being on the other side of the show and not running!

Here are some of my shots (hope the attach file option works like I think):

So many great shot opportunities - a great show, even with the cancellations and changes, and of course best wishes to Rob Harrison and family.

Here are a few of mine from Saturday:

An unexpected treat was seeing the armored vehicles running at the show.  Had I known that, I would have made catching the reenactment a priority!  I guess there's always next time...
