Hey everybody,
new to the sight just wanted to say hi and ask why do the Prowlers all seem to have gold tinted canopies? I have not seen this on any other aircraft except maybe some vipers. Is it mission driven or what?

P.S. if anyone can help me to get my profile picture up (Avatar I think it is called) that would be great.

We were told it was to protect us from all the rads we were throwing with the pods on.  Thankfully, I had all my kids before I had many hours in the Prowler.

Big thanks to Zach Falzon for the heads up on this Prowler enroute, it ended up being a pilot we know, and was worth the wait to see him again!

VMAQ-2

That last shot is poetic, like the venerable Prowler heading off into the sunset of its career.
