Hey Dap just FYI I belong to a fly in group that goes to random places. We are flying to Santa Rosa for lunch on Dec 6th. Ill probably fly a Marchetti SF260 in, several Citabrias, a great lakes, few Cessnas here and there. Should make for some great photo action. Come have lunch with us at the Sky Lounge!

There are two Nanchangs based at Petaluma, I believe. And others come down to play often - and practice some formation flying.

I might be flying there for lunch, not sure what Im flying yet, I might take a Marchetti SF260 so keep a look out for either a dark blue Marchetti or a blue and white Citabria if your shooting there on Sunday.

New tow plane feature lets copilot sit outside on wing, better view stated on marketing materials.

Petaluma sounds a lot like Santa Paula;  lots of aerobatic types, antiques and few that are just unique.  Love those types of airports  Afro

No, not a fly-in  -- but a monthly display day (third sat of the month). I guess all AC 30 years or older get a tax break if they are on display for the public 12 days/year. So many of the APs in the area have open hangar/display days once/month.

Visitors are encouraged to come (and receive some sort of certificate) and they are trying to recruit more this year. You should come on down for one...

I've signed on to cover events for the Petaluma Area Pilots Association, which runs the display days, so I'm pretty much always there with the camera. Great group of pilots.
